Instead, we believe in a holistic approach whereby the efficacy and efficiency of taking a formula are clearly established.
Furthermore, although the supplement may be a good source of Omega-6 and Omega-9 Fatty Acids, we find it disconcerting that Vitamin World® markets a number of essential fatty acid supplements. For instance, they also offer a Flaxseed Oil formula supplying Omega-3, Omega-6 and Omega-9s. In this review, we will assess Triple Omega 3-6-9 for its benefits and weigh its limitations to determine if it is the best source of Omega-3 Fatty Acids available.

Triple Omega 3-6-9 appears to contain Organic Flaxseed Oil, Borage Oil and Fish Oil derived from Herring, Anchovy, Mackerel, Sardine and Salmon. These provide the following nutrients: Omega-3 Fatty Acids (1,260mg, including 360mg of EPA and 240mg of DHA), Omega-6 Fatty Acids (804mg) and Omega-9 Fatty Acids (456mg).

Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA) and Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA) may have broad effects on one’s mental health. Studies suggest that a diet rich in EPA may help people combat such psychologically debilitating conditions as depression and anxiety.
On the other hand, essential Omega-6 Fatty Acids are commonly found in many common foods. Dietary sources like poultry, eggs, cereals, nuts and whole grain breads are rich in Omega-6s. As such, taking an Omega-6 supplement may be unnecessary for many of us. In any case, we would have liked the formula better if more EPA and DHA were being supplied. Extensive research has shown that one may have to take over 650mg each of these essential fatty acids to get marked health benefits.

The webpage devoted to the product, however, merely contains generic information regarding the benefits of Omega-3 Fatty Acids, which may be easily found over the Internet. We would have preferred seeing a webpage that explained the manufacturing practices and the extraction processes used to create this supplement. Furthermore, testimonials are not listed at this time.
