MorEPA™ is a dietary supplement that is advertised to help maintain emotional well-being, concentration and mood. This product is also purported to support joint, skin and cardiac health. MorEPA™ is manufactured and promoted by the company Minami Nutrition, which does sell a number of other dietary supplements as well. However, this product, in particular, is said to offer consumers a source of Omega-3 Fatty Acids.

The main ingredient in this formula is Omega-3 Fatty Acids. This formula is said to contain 540 mg of EPA and just 83 mg of DHA, both of which are two types of Omeg3-Fatty Acids that are found in seafood sources.
If this product contains any other ingredients or fillers they are not listed on the company website for consumer review. This may concern those who need to fully research a product before use in order to avoid any potential allergic reactions.
Ingredients in Focus
We appreciate that this manufacturer recognizes the importance of getting their Omega-3s from a fish oil source. It’s well known that seafood is the only source in nature for the DHA and EPA Fatty Acids, both of which are considered the most powerful Omega-3s for the body. However, we are a bit disappointed that this supplement contains so little of DHA. This Omega-3, in particular, has been described as “brain” food and is said to generate amazing health improvements for the heart and cardiovascular system. We do feel that DHA is equally as important as EPA, and we feel that the most effective formulas on the market offer at least 700mg of each of these fatty acids. As evident from the list above, this formula does not provide such high concentrations in their daily doses.
Furthermore, while we do feel that fish oil is a superior source for Omega-3s there are certain issues we feel must be addressed. Many fish in the ocean contain a high amount of environmental toxins, particularly mercury, and it is best when a manufacturer ensures their consumers they have taken the proper steps to purify their formulas and to catch “clean” fish. Currently, this manufacturer does not appear to address this important issue.

We do feel that the company site would be enhanced if the company had taken the time to add cited research and consumer reviews. Such features would indicate that this formula was carefully developed and tested to ensure safety and effectiveness. However, we do appreciate that the company site has a checkout function, which allows consumers to cut out the middleman by purchasing directly from the manufacturer.

However, we do not feel that all of these supplements are created equal, and so, we believe it’s always best to find a supplement that contains high amounts of DHA and EPA ,and one that also takes the necessary steps to ensure purity and quality.
